Hi everyone,

A quick pottery update from Bay Haven — I just added another wheel-throwing class on Tuesday evenings starting June 9. The first few classes filled faster than I expected(!), and I figured I could probably squeeze one more into the schedule before summer gets fully chaotic.

Reminder that our summer sessions are only 3-4 weeks long, so you can fit them around vacation plans!

There are still spots open in a few classes right now:

• Intro to Wheel (Wednesdays, 10am-12:30pm)
A good starting point if you’ve been wanting to learn and needed something daytime-friendly.

• Intro to Wheel (Tuesdays, 6-8:30pm)
A good starting point if you need something evening-friendly.

• Next Step Wheel (Mondays, 6-8:30pm)
For people who already have some basics and want to explore different forms, larger pieces, altered work, bowls, plates, and generally getting more comfortable throwing with intention.

• Coil Building Workshop (Saturdays 12-3pm starting May 30)
Handbuilding, texture, surface, slower pace, very satisfying.

• Try-It Wheel — Friday June 12, 6-8pm
Short, beginner-friendly, low-pressure introduction to the wheel if you’ve been curious but didn’t want to commit to a full class yet. Great for date nights!

The studio is still very much in its early days, which makes this a fun time to try it out. People are getting to know each other, trying things, helping glaze-test weird experiments, figuring out favorite tools, and building the kind of pottery community I was hoping this place would become.
